Math Classes Help Youngsters Solve Algebra, Word Problems

Orange Coast College Community Education is offering math classes to help students master algebra and solve word problems. Class instructor is Brian Clough. Register by phone at 714) 432-5880, ext. 1, or online at www.occtickets.com.
Pre-Algebra, for students in grades 4-6, will meet Monday through Thursday, Aug. 2-12, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Social Science 107. Class fee is $99.
Students in grades 7-9 can sign up for Algebra Review on Monday through Thursday, Aug. 2-12, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Social Science 107. Participants should have taken Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 during the previous school year. Class fee is $99.
“Word Problems–Unlocking the Secrets” will take the mystery out of word problems in a three-hour workshop on Saturday, Aug. 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Social Science 107. The class is recommended for students age 10-17. Class fee is $39.
