English 108--Library & Information Research
English 108 is a one-unit, self-paced, transferable course that teaches library and information research skills. It encourages independent and lifelong learning. You will complete 15 lessons and worksheets, 3 quizzes, and a final. Current syllabus: SyllabusEng108.pdf.

Instruction Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs):
- Identify the variety and formats of potential resources for library and information research, which may including knowing the difference between popular and scholarly resources.
- Retrieve library and information resources in the library and online using a variety of search strategies.
- Evaluate library and information resources critically for authority, timeliness, relevancy, and objectivity.
- Cite library and information resources according to the MLA, APA, or other styles and understand why correct citation of these resources helps to avoid plagiarism.
