There are four test levels for the math placement test. You only need to choose one of the four levels for placement in a math class. If you select an inappropriate test, you will be required to be retested with the appropriate test.
Here are a few facts to keep in mind while considering which math test level to choose:
- Calculators are not permitted.
- You are not penalized for a wrong answer or no answer.
- Should you score extremly high on the level you choose, you will not be placed higher than the class placements listed in the box to the right of the test level.
- Should you score extremely low, you will be asked to return and test at the next lower level.
