Counseling Services

Counseling services at Orange Coast College are in place to help students identify and clarify personal, career and educational goals. The intent is to help students choose options that will improve the quality of their lives. Our professionally trained counselors are available to assist you with the following:
Educational Planning Career Exploration Personal Counseling Counseling Classes Support Groups	Re-Entry Services Support Groups Referral Services Transfer Services Study Skills & Personal Development Workshops

Appointments*

Appointments may be made in person, by telephone, or online**. Thirty minute appointments are scheduled a week in advance. Each Thursday, Counseling Services begins scheduling appointments for students for the following week.

Walk-In Advising

Walk-in advising is available for quick questions during office hours. Students are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-in advising is limited to ten minutes and is appropriate for general questions only. Walk-in Advising is not appropriate for transcript evaluation, Student Education Plans, or counseling, as Walk-in Counselors do not have access to your transcript or other student records.

** Please note: If you are scheduling an appointment with a counselor for the first time at OCC, you will only be able to schedule in-person or by telephone.
