OCC campus safety tips
- Always walk with a buddy
- Have keys ready before you get to your car
- Avoid dark areas
- If followed, do not drive home; go to the police station for help
How to use Emergency Phones
- Dial 25555 to report an emergency.
- During Campus Safety hours (M-TH 7:00am to 9:00 p.m., Friday 7:00-4:30p.m.) dial 25017 to request an escort.
- Summer hours M-TH 7:00am to 7:00pm, Friday 7:00-4:30pm
- Costa Mesa Police/Fire/Emergency can be reached by calling 9-911
First Aid
First aid will be administered to anyone who is in need. If you have a condition that requires special attention, please wear a Medi-Alert bracelet so they can give you proper medical assistance.
Escort Service
The OCC Campus Public Safety Department provides an escort service 24 hours per day to insure the safety of students, staff and faculty. To make arrangements for an escort, please call 432-5017 during above business hours. It is also possible to reserve an escort in advance for the entire semester by calling 432-5017.
