The Writing and Reading Center is an area of the Student Success Center that offers free Writing, Reading, and ESL tutoring to all OCC students.  Students do not have to be enrolled in an English class to take advantage of tutoring; the Writing and Reading Center offers tutoring for writing, reading assignments for any class on campus!

SERVICES WE OFFER: 

Drop-Ins and Appointments: We offer 30-minute appointments and drop-ins for students who would like feedback on their writing but are not working on a DLA. Students may make one appointment per week, subject to availabilty. Students can a make appointments by calling the center at (714) 432-5066 or in person at C&L 101.

Study and Conversation Groups: It is suggested that student make a reservation to guarantee a seat in study groups. A list of our weekly study groups can be found here.

Directed Learning Activities (DLAs): Students working on DLAs may complete their DLAs on a drop-in basis.

Software: The center has several software programs available, including Azar interactive, Focus on Grammar, and Skills Tutor.
