Becoming a Tutor


When to Apply

The Student Success Center hires tutors throughout the semester based on student demand.


Note, peer tutors must enroll in Tutoring 150 (tutor training) during their first semester of employment.  Training is waived for applicants with advanced degrees.

Who Should Apply
The minimum Qualifications to be a tutor include:
  • 3.2 GPA
  • B or A in your math classes
  • Recommendation from a math instructor
  • Copy of transcripts (unofficial)
  • Good communication skills
  • Interview the Math Instructional Associate
