OCC Recycling Goes Solar!
The OCC Recycling Center has just completed a long awaited photovoltaic solar installation that will contribute greatly to reducing our carbon footprint! The 8.4 KW system is the result of several years of hard work and dedication by a very motivated group of Student Leaders and OCC Sierra Club members.
The system consists of 40 210w solar panels and is expected to save over $1200 per year in energy costs for OCC. We now have the capability to log onto a website from anywhere in the world to view our current usage and output. To view our energy production in real time, Click Here
We would like to thank the Associated Students of Orange Coast College for funding this project and the opportunity to achieve our sustainability goals!
OCC Recycling Accepts E-Waste
The OCC Recycling Center is now a State Certified Collector of electronic waste.  We can accept televisions, computer monitors, computers, printers, fax machines, projectors etc.  We accept these materials every day during our normal business hours on a donation basis.
