Ethnic Cooking Focus of OCC Workshop

Mediterranean Mezze Appetizers Star in March 8 Class

Orange Coast College Community Education is hosting a demonstration class featuring Mediterranean mezze appetizers on Saturday, March 8. Using a step-by-step, easy-to-understand approach, instructor Sabine Abourjeily takes the mystery out of ethnic cooking. Dishes will include Lebanon’s hummus, baba ghanouj and tabbouleh, Israel’s falafel and Greece’s tzatziki and eggplant dips. Class participants will pick up cooking tips and learn where to shop for ingredients in Orange County.

The class will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Journalism 105. Registration is $69 and includes $20 for materials. Sign up online at orangecoastcollege.augusoft.net or call (714) 432-5154. Registration can also be completed at the OCC Bursar’s Office at (714) 432-5880, x1.
