OCC Arts Pavilion Will Host Artist’s Lecture, Book Signing
Orange Coast College’s Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion will hold a closing reception for Justin Kimball’s “Pieces of String” including an artist’s lecture at 1:00 p.m. followed by a book signing and reception from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
The exhibit is held in conjunction with the MOPLA – Month of Photography, Los Angeles. Work by Cierra Lopez and Melissa Aviles will also be on display in the Art Pavilion’s second gallery. Both Lopez and Aviles will attend the closing reception.
The OCC Arts Pavilion galleries will reopen following the OCC Spring Break on Monday, March 31. Hours are 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesdays.
Kimball taught photography for more than 20 years at colleges and universities, including the Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Orange Coast College and Amherst College, where he is currently an associate professor of art.
