Orange Coast College Hosts Workshop in Leading-Edge Solar Technology Program

New Technology Will Create Thousands of Jobs

School teachers, administrators and representatives from Orange Coast College, LA Trade Tech, El Camino College, North Orange County ROP, Coastline ROP, Newport Mesa School District and Inglewood School District will take the first steps to set up training for photovoltaics (solar electricity) technicians at a half-day workshop at Orange Coast College on Friday, Dec. 4th. The Solar Power 2008 Conference held in San Diego last month estimated job demand will reach 4,249 nationwide.
