A three-unit manufacturing processes class will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Machine Technology Department.
Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Jan. 29.
Listed as Machine Technology 195 in OCC's schedule, the class meets Friday evenings, from 6-9:10 p.m.
The course examines engineering materials and manufacturing processes from the perspective of the machinist, the draftsman and the designer. The course discusses the problems of material selection coupled with cost-effective manufacturing methods.
It is fully transferable to the California State University system.
Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Enrollment Center in Watson Hall. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
OCC's spring enrollment fees are $20 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page (orangecoastcollege.edu). The printed schedule is
