A three-unit course that examines the life and times of Christ will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Religious Studies Department.
Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Jan. 29.
Listed as Religious Studies 130 in OCC's schedule, two sections of the course are slated. One meets Monday and Wednesday afternoons, from 12:45-2:10 p.m., and the other is set for Tuesday evenings, from 7-10:10 p.m.
The course studies the historical situation of the world of Jesus' day, and investigates the main outlines of Christ's life and teaching. It also examines the contributions of Judaism and the Greek and Roman worlds in shaping the Christian faith.
The course is fully transferable to the University of California and California State University systems.
Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Enrollment Center in Watson Hall. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
