A three-unit botany course will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Biology Department.

Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Jan. 29.

Listed as Biology 183 in OCC's schedule, the course meets Wednesdays and Fridays, from 11:10 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. A one-unit botany lab may also be taken with the class. It meets Friday afternoons, from 12:45-3:55 p.m.

The course examines the dynamics of plants and their processes. Particular attention is paid to the structure and function of living plants. It is fully transferable to the University of California and California State University systems.

Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Enrollment Center in Watson Hall. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OCC's spring enrollment fees are $20 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page ( The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
