A three-unit course that presents an introduction to multicultural behaviors will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Anthropology Department.

Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Feb. 2.

Listed as Anthropology 150 in OCC's schedule, two sections of the course are slated. One meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 8-9:25 a.m., and the other is set for Thursday evenings, from 6:30-9:40 p.m.

The course will compare and contrast Native American, African American, Hispanic American, Asian American and European American cultural traditions. Intercultural comparisons will be made of interactional patterns, nonverbal behaviors, linguistics, and ethnocentrism.

The course is fully transferrable to the University of California and California State University systems.

Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Admissions Office. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OCC's spring enrollment fees are $18 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page ( The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
