OCC OFFERS MANY HISTORY CLASSES THIS SPRING

More than 50 different classes will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's History Department.

Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Feb. 2.

Spring history courses include: "Survey of American History," "Afro American History," "World Civilization to the 17th Century," "World Civilization Since the 17th Century," "Family History and Genealogy," "The California Experience," "History of Mexico," "Ethnic Groups in the U.S.," "History of the U.S. to 1876," "History of the U.S. since 1876," "Economic History of the U.S.," "History of the U.S. Since 1945," "History of Western Civilization 1," "History of Western Civilization 2," "Women in History," "The Vietnam War" and "The World at War."

Several honors courses are being offered. All courses are transferable to the University of California and California State University systems.

Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Admissions Office. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OCC's spring enrollment fees are $18 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page (orangecoastcollege.com). The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
