OCC Repertory Serves Up Holiday Christmas Melodrama Features Santa & Ice Cream
Orange Coast College's Repertory Theatre Company will stage its annual Christmas show for kids – and parents and grandparents – through Dec. 14th in the Drama Lab Theatre. Curtains will rise on "An Old-Fashioned Christmas Melodrama and Ice Cream Social" at 7 p.m. Dec. 12, 13 & 14. Afternoon matinees will be 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 & 14.
Thursday, December 11, 2008
The show, under the direction of OCC theatre arts professor Rick Golson, will feature an evening of music, vaudeville acts, a holiday sing-a-long and a musical melodrama, "The Plight Before Christmas." Authors Fred J. Cusick and Diane Moore drew the play's characters from the Dickens classic, "Christmas Carol."
Everyone in attendance will be treated to a free ice cream favor. There will also be a visit by Santa; parents are advised to bring their cameras.
