Orange Coast College will stage its 20th annual High School Senior Day on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in the campus quad.

More than 3,500 Orange County high school seniors are expected to attend. Activities will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the campus quad. Admission is free.

Every senior in attendance will receive early registration materials for fall 2003 classes. Counseling, orientation and financial aid materials will be available. Information about OCC's transfer program and occupational programs will be distributed. Campus and departmental tours will also be conducted for interested students.

Several Orange Coast College Preview Sessions will be held in Robert B. Moore Theatre. Each senior attending one of the presentations will receive a free Senior Day T shirt.

Students attending OCC's High School Senior Day will be served a free barbecue lunch. Campus clubs will offer demonstrations and will sponsor food booths. Musical entertainment will be provided.

OCC's SOAR (English and mathematics) placement tests will be administered between 2-5 p.m. for interested students.

Orange Coast College is annually a leader in transferring students to four-year colleges and universities. Last year, OCC ranked second out of the state's 108 community colleges in sending 1,709 transfers to the University of California and California State University systems. Orange Coast led in transfers to the 23-campus CSU system.
