Students Can Still Apply for Classes Online
The Orange Coast College campus will be closed for the winter holiday from December 19 through January 1. The campus will reopen on January 2 when the four-week intersession classes begin. Regular spring semester classes start on Monday, January 27.
There are plenty of seats available, according to OCC Vice President of Instruction John Weispfenning. The college has increased the number of class sections by 6% compared to last spring, thanks to the voters who approved Proposition 30, he said.
New students can submit applications online at www.orangecoastcollege.edu. Applications for admission submitted between December 18th and January 1st will be processed in the order received upon return beginning January 2, 2014. Students should apply early for the best class selection.
Registration appointments for new students are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Returning students who have previously attended Orange Coast College but have missed one or more semesters, must re-apply for admission to receive a registration appointment and re-activate their MyOCC account. Students can also apply for financial aid at the time of their application.
The hours for the Enrollment Center at Watson Hall are as follows: Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
