A popular course in step aerobics will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Physical Education Division.
Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Jan. 30.
Listed as Physical Education 112AD in OCC's schedule, two sections of the course are slated. One meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 8:20-9:25 a.m., and the other is set for the same late afternoons, from 4:30-5:35 p.m.
The course is designed to improve each participant's strength and cardiovascular fitness level through steady-state stepping movements. Students will be exposed to a graduated continuous system of rhythmic stepping at various platform heights, emphasizing strength, flexibility and endurance.
The course is transferable to the University of California and California State University systems.
Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Admissions Office. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to
6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
OCC's spring enrollment fees are $26 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on
