A three-unit course that presents a survey of painting, sculpture and architecture from the Renaissance through the Modern period will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Art Department.
Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Feb. 2.
Titled "History and Appreciation of Art," and listed as Art 101 in OCC's schedule, five sections of the course are slated. They meet mornings, afternoons and evenings.
The course includes illustrated lectures, reading and study of current exhibitions. It is transferable to the University of California and California State University systems.
Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Admissions Office. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
OCC's spring enrollment fees are $18 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page (orangecoastcollege.com). The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
