A basic course in milling machine operation will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Machine Technology Department.
Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Jan. 30.
Listed as Machine Technology 110 in OCC's schedule, the five-unit class meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6-10 p.m.
The course focuses on both vertical and horizontal milling usage. It also looks at theory and usage of tools and accessories. The class places emphasis on safety techniques and procedures.
The course is fully transferable to the California State University system.
Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Admissions Office. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to
6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
OCC's spring enrollment fees are $26 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page (orangecoastcollege.edu). The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
