The spectacular Stars of Magic comedy, variety and magic show will make its 13th annual visit to Orange Coast College on Saturday evening, Jan. 18.

Many of the previous performances were sold out.

This year's production, geared for the entire family, is set to begin at 8 p.m. in OCC's Robert B. Moore Theatre.

Now in its 27th year of touring the nation, the Stars of Magic features top international magicians who perform acts that have made them headliners throughout the world of magic. This year's full-stage production features Greg and Lyuda Wilson, fresh from a six-month tour of China, with a brilliant review of illusions, titled "Allakazam"; Dale Salwak and his elegant presentation of the classics of magic; Jason Byrne's astonishing "magic with birds"; and, from Washington, D.C., irresistibly funny master of ceremonies, Rich Bloch.

The Wilsons have toured the world and developed their own unique and fast-paced style of magic. Greg Wilson is a second generation magician. His father, Mark Wilson, was a pioneer in bringing stage magic to television. Greg follows the tradition of the great masters of the art of stage illusion. He fills the stage with mind-boggling effects.

Salwak is known throughout the world as "The Gentleman of Magic." One London critic wrote of him, "(He) doesn't just do magic; he is magic!" In addition to being a master in the field of sleight-of-hand, Salwak is known internationally as a teacher of magic. He performs the classics of magic in his own inimitable style.

Byrne comes to OCC's stage straight from an appearance in "Splash" at the Riviera in Las Vegas. Byrne has one of the hottest acts in magic today, producing dozens of doves in just eight minutes. His innovative, high-energy style keeps audiences at the edge of their seats.

Bloch has been delighting crowds around the world for 30 years with his offbeat style of magic and comedy. He has made many television appearances, and regularly stars in top revue shows and corporate events.

Advance reserved tickets for the concert, priced at $29, are on sale in OCC's Community Education Ticket Office, located adjacent to the college's library. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
