A four-unit advanced welding class will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Welding Technology Department.
Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Feb. 2.
Listed as Welding 201 in OCC's schedule, the class meets Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
The course teaches advanced welding theory and practice. It covers gas-shielded arc processes, welding of non-ferrous metals, certification requirements, and use of welding symbols.
The course is fully transferable to the California State University system.
Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in OCC's Admissions Office. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
OCC's spring enrollment fees are $18 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page (orangecoastcollege.com). The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
