A three-unit course that looks at the history of the United States from 1876 to the present will be offered this spring by Orange Coast College's Social Sciences Division.

Spring semester classes begin on Monday, Jan. 29.

Listed as History 175 in OCC's schedule, 16 sections of the course are slated. They meet mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. An online section is also available.

The course satisfies the state university requirement in American history. It is fully transferable to the University of California and California State University systems.

Spring registration is under way, and registration appointments are available in

OCC's Enrollment Center in Watson Hall. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OCC's spring enrollment fees are $20 per unit. The spring schedule is listed on the college's Internet web page ( The printed schedule is available in the Admissions Office.
