Campus to Reopen January 2 Following Winter Holiday;
Students Can Apply for Admission Online
The Orange Coast College campus in Costa Mesa will reopen on January 2, but new students don’t need to wait to apply – they can sign up online during the college’s winter holiday. Spring classes begin Monday, January 27.
There are plenty of seats available, according to OCC Vice President of Instruction John Weispfenning. The college has increased the number of class sections by 6% compared to last spring, thanks to the voters who approved Proposition 30, he said.
New students should submit applications online at www.orangecoastcollege.edu. Applications for admission submitted during the college’s winter break will be processed in the order received when the college reopens on January 2. Students are advised to apply early for the best class selection.
Registration appointments for new students are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Returning students, who have previously attended Orange Coast College but have missed one or more semesters, must re-apply for admission to receive a registration appointment and re-activate their MyOCC account. Students can also apply for financial aid at the time of their application.
When OCC reopens on January 2, the Enrollment Center in Watson Hall will be open on Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
