Women's Soccer: Pirates roll to 5-0 win over West Valley
Saturday, September 01, 2012

VENTURA -- It was well worth the drive for the Orange Coast College women's soccer team, thanks to a 5-0 win over West Valley on Friday, completing a two-match sweep at the Ventura Tournament.

There were plenty of offensive standouts for Coast, but leading the way on Friday was sophomore midfielder Sarah MacArthur, who had two goals and an assist. Single goals were turned in by Emma Pridmore, Kiley Leshin and Kelsey McKay. Assists were contributed by Pridmore, Jessica Amaral, Cindy Rubio and Courtney Garrity.

Kate O'Banion and Emily Harrier each played a half for Coast (2-0) and each posted one save in the shutout win.

Coast will return to action on Wednesday at Rio Hondo College, beginning at 2 p.m.
