FITNESS COMPLEX TO EXTEND HOURS
The Orange Coast College Fitness Complex has extended its hours from 6-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday evenings for the Cardio and Strength Labs. Normal hours for both labs, which are located on the second floor, are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. The facilities are closed during the weekend.

SCIENCE NIGHT DRAWS MORE THAN 4,500 KIDS FROM OC
Orange Coast College’s 15th annual Community Science Night on Oct. 17 drew thousands of attendees from across the county, with children and their families gathering in the Science Quad to participate in hands-on science experiments and demonstrations.

Offering extra credit encourages students to visit the Student Success Center and use its services — the hardest step for many students can be walking through the front door. When a teacher gives extra credit this is often the motivation needed to come to the Student Success Center for the first time.

Laird Hayes, who retired after 35 years at OCC, continues to work as Side Judge #125 for the National Football League. His November schedule includes Indianapolis at New York Giants on Nov. 3, Denver at Oakland on Nov. 9 and Philadelphia at Green Bay on Nov. 16.
