The recently released movie, "Music Within," is about Rich Pimentel who returned from Vietnam with a near total loss of his hearing. Rich learned to read lips and he initially concealed his disability. Later, he went on to be instrumental in the disability rights movement in California and the nation. He helped to develop the WINDMILLS program, the most widely used disability hiring/training program in the nation. Rich had helped develop WINDMILLS to assist disabled vets returning from Vietnam. He is currently adapting the program to address how employers can put disabled vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan back to work.
