OCC STUDENTS ATTEND GLOBAL WARMING RALLY
Thursday, December 13, 2007

Five Orange Coast College students and an alumnus attended last weekend's Powershift '07 national youth gathering in Washington, D.C.

The gathering was developed by organizers to find solutions to global warming. More than 3,000 students rallied, and five student leaders testified before Congress.

OCC's attendees included Chrissy Scarborough, who founded OCC's Sierra Club three years ago, Joe Cresalia (OCC Sierra Club vice president), Shane Cutting (Sierra Club president); Paul Leal (student senator), Kris Naslund (Sierra Club communications officer) and Kimberly Phan (Sierra Club media relations director).
