FILM SERIES CONTINUES TOMORROW WITH "MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE"
Thursday, December 15, 2005

Dr. Arthur Taussig

Dr. H. Arthur Taussig's 2005-06 OCC Film Series continues tomorrow evening (Dec. 16) with the fifth and final installment of the "Frank Sinatra Film Series."

Tomorrow's film is the 1962 classic, "The Manchurian Candidate."

The session meets at 6:30 p.m. in Fine Arts Hall 119. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and OCC students.

The film offers a harrowing portrayal of a Korean War veteran's capture and subsequent decoration. It looks at the machinations of a power-hungry woman who'll do anything to advance the political career of her Joseph McCarthy-like husband.

The film stars Sinatra, Laurence Harvey, Janet Leigh, Angela Lansbury, Henry Silva, John McGiver, Khigh Dhiegh, and the Queen of Diamonds. The director is John Frankenheimer.
