"The Life and Times of Frida Kahlo"
PBS, 2005 (c. 2004)
DVD, 90 minutes
Location: Media REF ND 259 .K33 L54

This is a PBS documentary (not the motion picture) about Frida Kahlo, the great Mexican painter. But Kahlo was more than just a painter: her life and art reflected the maelstrom of the revolution and culture that defined the first half of the 20th century. This film examines both this time period and Frieda Kahlo with a combination of her artwork, photographs, archival films, and interviews.

Special features of the DVD include: "Interviews with Kahlo's students."

It is closed-captioned for the hearing impaired.
