Household Hazardous Waste
Orange Coast College, in partnership with the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and OC Waste & Recycling, is holding a HHW collection event Saturday, November 5, 2016. Residents are welcome to drop off household hazardous waste products including paints, pesticides, and cleaning products in Parking Lot C (off of Merrimac Way) starting at 10:00am.

Orange Coast College Recycling Center to Expand
We are excited to announce construction is currently underway on the long-awaited expansion of the Recycling Center! Included in the expansion will be increased parking and service bays in order to better serve the community as well as opportunities for new community services. Construction is slated to be completed June 2017.

The OCC Recycling Center has just completed a long awaited photovoltaic solar installation that will contribute greatly to reducing our carbon footprint! The 8.4 KW system is the result of several years of hard work and dedication by a very motivated group of Student Leaders and OCC Sierra Club members.
The system consists of 40 210w solar panels and is expected to save over $1200 per year in energy costs for OCC. We now have the capability to log onto a website from anywhere in the world to view our current usage and output.
