Digital media arts and design is an important sector of the economy and many companies are eager to find qualified graphic artists who not only understand a particular media, but also know how to put together multimedia projects. More than half of digital graphic artists and designers are self-employed. while many others work for advertising and related services, newspapers, periodicals, book and software publishers, the motion picture and video industries, and specialized design services.
Students in this program are introduced to a broad range of media, including 2-D and 3-D design, animations, illustration, painting, photography, video, music, and sound recording, as well as the strategies and techniques required to incorporate those areas into print, websites, video and DVD output

Digital Graphics Production
This certificate program teaches students to utilize industry standard graphics software. such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Graphic Design
This certificate program teaches students to utilize industry standard graphics software, as well as demonstrate techniques in digital lettering and typography. Upon completion of the program students will be able to prepare digital files for printing, and will have generated a portfolio utilizing a variety of design techniques for the purpose of gaining employment and/or acceptance to a degree program in digital arts.
Multimedia
This certificate is designed to prepare students for an entry-level position in the multimedia industry. Students will be exposed to a broad range of media and, in addition to learning to utilize industry standard software, will design and create website projects that demonstrate originality, navigation innovation, engagement with image and text relationships. and website construction skills. Students will also become proficient in the basic skills of digital animation.
