Students completing this program are qualified to manage food service operations in commercial establishments.
Certificates of Achievement
This program prepares students to operate a catering business, both on-site and off-site. Students will learn about organization and management, menu pricing, selling, advertising and promotion, and preparing and serving food. Most importantly, however, students will learn about cost accountability, which is the single most important tool for success in operating a catering service. Upon completion of the program students are qualified to work in the catering departments in hotels and restaurants. as well as start their own business.
This program prepares students for entry-level employment as a food service supervisor. Courses cover a variety of subjects including food preparation, hospitality, sanitation, management, accounting and nutrition.
Certificate of Specialization
This program is tailored for students interested in pursuing a career in a booming quick service segment of the industry. Upon completion of this certificate, students will be prepared for entry-level supervisory employment in local quick service (fast food) establishments.
Associate of Science Degree
This program prepares students for entry-level employment as a food service supervisor. The program is designed to meet the needs of the local hospitality and food service industry. Completion of the Restaurant Supervision Certificate is a prerequisite for this program.
