Medical Assisting

Medical assistants are a vital part of the medical community; as the first and last face that patients will likely see when they go to a medical appointment, medical assistants play an important role in patient experience. As a generation of baby boomers reaches retirement age, the need for skilled medical professionals is higher than every, and medical assisting employment opportunities are excellent. Orange Coast College's medical assisting program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), which allows graduates of the program to take the national Certified Medical Assistant exam.
