​​​​​​​Orange Coast College's Business program is geared toward individuals looking to invest in their future. The program is designed to provide students with real-world skills that will prepare them for successful careers in business administration, finance and entrepreneurship. 


Whether students are looking to transfer to a four-year institution, are ready to jump into a career now, or have 

a more specific goal such as starting their own business. OCC's Business Program has something to offer everyone. All classes are taught by working professionals and consultants who have their finger on the pulse of this ever-​­evolving industry. 


Career opportunities for graduates of the business program are varied. The skills acquired in the program prepare students for positions in accounting, marketing, sales, management, advertising, public relations, investment management, and more.


Certificate of Achievement 


Business Administration 

This certificate will prepare students for entry-level business positions or transfer to four-year college business programs. Students will be able to apply and utilize the business principles and techniques they have learned in a business environment.

Certificate of Specialization 


Entrepreneurship 

This certificate of specialization is designed to develop skills in starting, maintaining and growing a small business. Courses emphasize feasibility analysis, legal considerations, financial management, marketing plans and sales techniques. Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to start an entrepreneurial venture utilizing the small business principles they have learned. 


Finance 

This certificate is designed to develop analytic and critical thinking skills in the financial area of business. Courses emphasize financial accounting, securities, and financial and investment management. Upon graduation, graduates will be able to function effectively in an entry-level or​ training position in a brokerage firm or in a small- to mid­size enterprise.
