Interior Design
​​​​Interior design is an exciting and rapidly growing profession that requires both creativity and technical knowledge to develop design solutions for interior spaces. The interior design program at Orange Coast College is a multi-level program developed by educators and industry professionals. that is committed to building confident. responsible and socially aware individuals who will contribute to quality of life through interior design. 


Certificates of Achievement 


Level 1 - Merchandising 

This program is designed to prepares students for entry-level employment in retail furnishing and merchandising, as well as meet general education requirements for the associate degree in Interior Design. 

Level 2 - Interior Design Assistant, Associate of Science Degree 

This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as an interior design assistant to a professional interior designer. Additionally, completion of the program results in an associate degree and prepares students who are looking to transfer to a four-year institution.

Level 3 - Interior Design, Professional Level 

This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level​ employment as a professional interior designer, and for industry certifications. 

Certificate of Specialization 


Interior Design - Kitchen and Bath Advanced Certificate 

This program is designed to prepare students for employment as specialized kitchen and bath designers, and for industry certifications. ​
