​​Ecology offers students the chance to study the role of living things in their environment; the proffered courses look at the role of specific animals in their environment. For example, the Intertidal Ecology and Wetlands Ecology courses the importance of those particular types of habitats, the Ecology of the Gray Whale courses goes indepth about that animal's biology and interaction with its environment, and Human Ecology discusses the impact of man on environment.
Students who study Ecology may find additional information about taking courses to transfer in this major in the Department of Biology and Department of Marine Science.
