Orange Coast College invites you to participate in our annual Math Meet competition on March 15, 2019! We offer this competition at NO CHARGE to the high schools or the students!
High school students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their math skills, win prizes, meet others
who excel in the discipline, and learn about math and science programs at Orange Coast College.
Awards and prizes will be presented during a dinner immediately following the competition. Again,
there is no cost to students or faculty sponsors to participate.
Each high school enters a team of four members and an optional alternate (a fifth member). A faculty
sponsor must accompany each team. All team members must be enrolled in that high school and meet
California Interscholastic Federation requirements.
The questions are generic math questions which are based on high school level mathematics. No
calculators are allowed during the exam. There will be both individual and team winners.
The Math Meet will be held in the Giles T. Brown Forum, near the quad area of the Orange Coast College
campus at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. Parking lot A or C is suggested, with access from Fairview
Road at Arlington Drive. Parking permits are not needed on the afternoon of the event.
The OCC Math Meet will return in the Spring of 2020. Registration will begin this Fall. For more information, contact Professor Tyler Boogar (email@example.com).
We hope that you will join us for this exciting competition!
