Volunteer History
The Horticulture Department has been the lucky beneficiary of a dedicated group of volunteers lending enthusiastic and unwavering help to the many tasks that challenge our department. From helping with plant sales, special group planting events, to recovering our greenhouses we have always been able to rely on a dedicated and long lasting pool of friends, some helping for 20 years or more!
Upcoming Event Volunteer Opportunities
Poinsettias : This will be the first time in 30 years that our Poinsettia crop will be grown by staff and volunteers only without the benefit of the 20-30 students from the Nursery Practices class. This will make volunteers and target dates very important to be able to grow this very demanding crop sucessfully.
Note: Times relating to planting poinsettias are dependent upon the arrival of cuttings. Please check back for possible starting time updates prior to the day of planting
