2022 Mass Appeal Student Juried Exhibition

May 3 – 12, 2022

Celebrating a Return to an In-Person Exhibition after Two Years of Online Shows! Two Weeks of Talent from Across Campus!


Juror: Heriberto Luna, an independent artist, whose paintings present fantastical updates of imagery from his Indigenous roots in Mexico. He has been a featured speaker at Orange Coast College's CLEEO events and will have a solo exhibition, curated by Eric Cuellar, CLEEO Coordinator, in The Doyle's Project Gallery, concurrent with the Mass Appeal student exhibition. A number of "OCC Foundation Scholarship Cash Awards'' will be chosen by the juror. $500 First Place; $400 Second Place; $300 Third Place. All juror decisions are final.

  • ARTWORK PICK UP AT THE DOYLE: May 16-18, Mon.-Wed., 10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Submissions are available to all OCC students, as long as they are enrolled in at least one class in spring 2022. One work per student with up to three images for showing different viewpoints or details. Work previously submitted to Mass Appeal exhibitions is not accepted. For questions or concerns about submitting online email the or call only during March 22 - 24, Tue.-Wed. from 11am - 4pm, at (714) 432 -5738. Emails or calls will not be answered during spring break March 26 - April 3.


Heriberto Luna's invitation to be a juror and featured in a solo exhibition is presented in conjunction with the spring 2022's CLEEO event (Counseling Latin@s for Equity & Engagement).
