Amythyst Fritzler

Amythyst Fritzler.png​​Amythyst Fritzler​, a native of southern California, trained at Orange Coast College before earning her BA in dance from California State University, Long Beach in 2006. While at CSULB she received the Margot Fonteyn Memorial Scholarship.  ​Currently Amythyst is a graduate student at CSULB, expecting to complete her MA in dance in 2013. She received her Pilates certification from Long Beach Dance and Conditioning in 2003.  In addition to teaching modern dance at Orange Coast College, Amythyst teaches Pilates and the GYROTONIC® Methodology for fitness and rehabilitation, and she has taught modern dance at private studios, CSULB and Riverside Community College.  She has had the pleasure of performing the works of noted choreographers in California and New York including Bradley Lindberg, Louis Cornejo, Linda Sohl-Ellison, Amelie Hunter, Damon Patrick Rago, Doug Nielsen, Sharri Brookler, Colleen Dunagan and Michael Nickerson-Rossi.  Amythyst was a founding member of the Nickerson-Rossi Dance Company and she performed with Palindrome Dance Company.  Her own choreography has been presented at Orange Coast College, Golden West Invitational, Kinesis and Nectar dance performances.
