OCC Dance

The OCC Dance Department is currently following college and state Covid-19 safety guidelines. We ARE returning to campus is some capacity in Fall 2021. Our core Dance technique and Pilates classes will be taught in-person and we will host our fall faculty -choreographed concert (audition on September 3rd).  In keeping with the California Department of Public Health COVID-19 Guidelines, the Coast Community College District requires all unvaccinated people on campus to wear a mask, covering both the nose and mouth, at all times.  Because the District has not collected the vaccination status of students, and thus the vaccination status of students is not officially known, Board Resolution 21-40 requires all students to wear a mask while inside the classroom, regardless of their vaccination status. Please make sure your mask covers both your nose and mouth at all times.

Others classes will continue to be offered “Live Online.” This is similar to an in-person class with set meeting times and offered synchronously using ConferZoom. Students should use a computer/laptop with administrator rights. PC (Windows 7 or 10) or Mac (OSX Mojave or higher). Caution - Mobile phones may not be sufficient. For dance courses you must have a working webcam and sufficient space to move safely inside – or outside- your home “studio” (so we can see your entire body). For any questions, please contact our Chair, Rachel Berman at
