Mesa Dance Festival

Come and join the OCC Dance Department for a day of amazing hip hop dance with renowned choreographers and performers from throughout Southern California. The full event offers dance workshops, dance battle, and an evening show with the best dance crews in the area.

Schedule:

Registration: 10:00AM – 11:00AM (Next to GYM)

First Class with Kevin Pascua:  11:00AM – 12:30PM (DANCE B)

Second Class with Rony Jacques:  12:45PM – 2:15PM (DANCE B)

Third Class with David Slaney II:  2:30PM – 4:00PM (DANCE B)

Battle Registration: 4:00PM – 5:00PM (ROBERT B. MOORE )

Dance Battle: 5:00PM – 6:30PM (ROBERT B. MOORE THEATER)

Dance Performance: 7:00PM (ROBERT B. MOORE THEATRE)

At an early age, Kevin took an interest in bboying and freestyle. He competed with teams like KABA kids and TM juniors throughout high school. In addition, Kevin danced with companies such as Maker Empire, Soul Fresh, Beach Boyz and was director for Team Millennia for 2 years. He has since taught at Millennium Dance complex, Snowglobe Perspective, Boogiezone and Kinjaz Dojo. Kevin has also taught at various studios, master classes, and intensives around the US.

Rony Jacques is a dancer, choreographer, instructor, and freestyler. He was  a member/choreographer of three professional dance teams; Iconic Movement, an all male step team, Static Noyze Dance Company, who were featured on season 5 of America’s Best Dance Crew, and Concept Artists, one of Boston’s premier hip hop teams. He has trained and learned from dedicated and renowned instructors/choreographers such as Dave Scott, Cris Judd, Luam, Tricia Miranda, Kelly Peters, Neil Schwartz, Phoenix and Pharside of Academy of Villains, Hamilton Evans, Havic, and Carlos Neto. His has worked with various artists such as Diplo and Hopsin, and his dancing and work has been seen/featured on SYTYCD, Boston Kiss Concert, Billboard.com, Samsung, Cricket Wireless, Six Flags Magic Mountain, High School Nation Tour, and Ghostbusters 2016.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.occtickets.com or by calling (714) 432-5880. 

  $25 in advance or $35 at the door for the whole event.

  The Dance Battle entrance fee purchased separately is $10 .

  The Evening Performance purchased separately is $12, $20 at the door.


*OCC Students and High School Students with an ID will ONLY pay $20 for the whole event!* 

Proceeds donated to the Dance Department Scholarship Fund.
