New About Instruction Check out our Instruction and Help Web page to find out about our library lectures, workshops, handouts, research guides, and our English 108 library course.
Library Textbook Collection The library has established a new textbook collection for the students, funded by the OCC Foundation, with a generous bequest from a former OCC faculty member, Shirley Brooke. Students may use a textbook in this growing reserve collection for two hours in the library.
New Electronic Resources The library has added several new electronic resources for our OCC students. eBooks now includes 6,000 electronic full-text copies of published print materials, such as reference books, scholarly monographs, fiction and nonfiction books. Grove Music Online includes full-text access to The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, along with periodical articles, audio and video examples, and web links. The Science Resource Center includes full-text encyclopedias, periodical articles, multimedia records, web links, and a Science Standards Search. In addition, a list of our periodicals--both in our electronic databases and in print in the library--is available on the Electronic Resources site.
Friends of the Library Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library, we now have audiobooks on CDs for you to check out. This is in addition to their contributions to the purchase of bestselling books, paperbacks, and DVDs.
