The Orange Coast College MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) Center is a space where MESA students can study independently, engage with study groups, and access study aids and workshops. We provide access to many resources, such as computers, microscopes, textbooks, and models to help MESA students turn struggles into successes. The MESA program provides first generation, financial aid eligible students with added support and community.

The MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) program at Orange Coast College is an academic resources program for first generation, financial aid eligible students pursuing a transfer degree in STEM. MESA provides support to allow students to excel in their chosen field of study and to transfer to a four-year institution in their chosen discipline. The MESA Center provides a wealth of resources for MESA students, including:

  • MESA Center study space with computers and study aids
  • STEM industry field trips and guest speakers
  • University campus tours
  • Internship opportunities
  • Tutoring services and Guided Review study sessions
  • Equipment loans (i.e., calculators)
  • Skills and counseling workshops
  • Community building opportunities
