UCI Calteach Information Workshop (Enroll in a UCI Course at OCC!)

Come learn how to enroll in a UCI class at OCC. 
UCI's: Introduction to elementary math and science Teaching

  • Take a free UC Irvine course here at OCC!
  • Learn teaching skills and practice these methods in local K-12 classrooms!
  • $150 stipend available!

URE20 Panel - Friday, February 21 from 1-2pm in the STEM Center (Lewis 110)


A workshop to learn about URE20 and listen to former URE participants talk about the program and share their research. Students will be given an opportunity to ask questions about the experience and the application process.

Biomedical Careers Workshop

This workshop will feature the director of the UCI minority sciences program and co-PI of the Bridges program along with UC Irvine students currently conducting research.  They will discuss biomedical research and give an opportunity for students to ask questions about research and applying to the Bridges to the Baccalaureate summer research program.  Pizza will be served!

Cal State Fullerton Campus Visit- Friday, April 10 from 8:30am-3pm (transportation from OCC provided)

CSUF Project RAISE invites all STEM majors to visit CSUF to tour the campus and STEM research labs.  Transportation and lunch are provided.  Space is VERY limited and students that would like to go should e-mail Farah Sogo at fsogo@occ.cccd.edu. Flyer 



RAISE Transfer Program (RTP) Workshop- Friday, March 13 from 11-12 pm in the STEM Center (Lewis 110)

This workshop conducted by Project RAISE is geared towards students planning on or considering transfer to Cal State Fullerton. The RAISE Transfer Program provides STEM majors at CSUF a path to success that includes priority registration and additional support for new transfer students.

Transfer Shock Workshop- Friday, April 24 from 1-2 pm in the STEM Center (Lewis 110)

This workshop conducted by Project RAISE will involve learning strategies to help ease the transition from community college to a four-year university. Successful transfer students from CSUF will also discuss their experiences. flyer
