Out of the abundance of concern for the health and welfare of our students, staff, and community, the Financial Aid Office will remain closed to the public until further notice. Orange Coast College received a federal emergency grant as part of the CARES Stabilization Funding Package which allows us to assist students with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.
What the CARES Emergency Grant Is/Is Not
- IS a grant created to provide assistance for students facing unexpected financial emergencies for qualifying expenses related to COVID-19
- IS available to help students avoid dropping out of school
- IS NOT a loan expected to be paid back
- IS NOT for only Title IV financial aid recipients; this is not a title IV grant and students do not have to meet the traditional financial aid eligibility requirements
