Who is a New Student?
You’re considered a new student if you’ve never taken classes at Orange Coast College as a college student. New students, regardless of their educational background and goal, must apply for admission.
Financial assistance is available to qualifying students. To apply for financial assistance complete the FAFSA application. (you’ll be given an opportunity to apply via the FAFSA website at the end of the admission application.)
How Will I know when I am Accepted?
Once you submit your online application, you will immediately receive an email confirming receipt of your application. The email will be sent to the email address you supplied on your application. Approximately 3-5 business days later you will receive a follow up email, which will provide information on accessing MyOCC, registering for classes and priority registration. Please read all the information in the emails you receive.
Verify Your Email
Please verify that the email address you provide is correct so that you receive confirmation that your application has been submitted.
Some Internet Service Providers filter email from Orange Coast College as junk/spam. Please check your trash/junk/spam folder if you do not receive an email response within one week of submitting your application. You can avoid this by adding
email@example.com to your Approved Senders list. This is especially important if you use providers such as AOL, Yahoo, EarthLink, MSN, Hotmail, Gmail or Roadrunner and/or you use spam filters.
